American Banker Newspaper Announces ‘Bitcoin for Bankers’ Conference

American Banker reported the new bitcoin and digital currencies conference, called ‘Bitcoin for Bankers’, will be held on July 29th in New York City.

American Banker, the daily New York-based newspaper covering news on the banking and finance industries, announced that it will arrange a conference in July in order to bring the traditional financial services companies up to date with the latest developments in the bitcoin and virtual currency sector.

American Banker includes a lot of publications relating to bitcoin. The newspaper’s executive editor Marc Hochstein even was among the panel speakers at the Inside Bitcoins NY conference, which took place in April at the Javits Convention Center. The event, which included over 80 industry experts, focused on the main issues surrounding the cryptocurrency.

‘Bitcoin for bankers’ conference will occur on 29th of July at Convene in New York City. The event will feature bitcoin and digital money and their influence on various industries, including remittances, foreign exchange, online payments and others. The event will be interesting for anyone who is involved in the bitcoin and virtual money industry, including Banks and financial institutions, entrepreneurs, developers, payment processors, investors, online retailers, credit and security solutions providers.

Marc Hochstein, who will be a chairman at the conference, said that the event will tackle the wrong way in which bitcoin is often portrayed by news publications. He said: “Our conference will cut through the sensationalism and rhetoric that have clouded the conversation around this technology and hone in on the business possibilities opened up by decentralized electronic ledgers.”

The leading speakers at the conference include Ripple Labs CEO Chris Larsen, Wells Fargo’s financial crimes intelligence group manager Lester Joseph and Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire. Besides, the major traditional financial services firms will be represented by CEO of Internet Archive Federal Credit Union Jordan Modell, chairman of the CSBS Emerging Payments Task Force David Cotney, Boring & Company, LLC CEO Perianne Boring, BitPay Chief Compliance Officer Tim Byun and CEO Tim Parsa.

Registration information is available on the official conference website.
