MasterPass is an easy and reliable tool for online shopping from anywhere globally.

MasterCard is making booking travel easier and faster. The payment giant has added JetBlue as its latest merchant to accept digital payments with MasterPass, a digital payments platform that enhances the online and mobile checkout process. The service will be available on the airline’s website and mobile app later this year.

MasterPass by MasterCard was launched in 2013 and is currently available in 29 countries. MasterPass payments are accepted at 250,000 merchants all over the world. Wherever customers see the “Buy with MasterPass” button, they can use this free and easy-to-set up payment method.

“Planning a getaway with JetBlue is exciting and something to look forward to,” said Michael Cyr, group executive, U.S. Market Development, MasterCard. “With your payment credentials securely stored in MasterPass, the toughest thing you’ll have to do is decide where you want JetBlue to take you.”

MasterPass considerably facilitates the payment process for thousands of customers. The wallet automatically saves such information as preferred payment and shipping details. Thus during next payment, a customer needs only to click on the “Buy with MasterPass” button and sign into their account.

“We are always looking for new ways to offer customers a great experience at every step in their travel and that starts with booking your flight,” said Mike Stromer, vice president digital loyalty and customer insights, JetBlue. “MasterPass adds a fast and simple way to complete a booking, and we look forward to adding it into our mobile app and online experience later this year.”

Current cooperation between MasterCard and JetBlue is not the first one. In October 2015 the companies announced that MasterCard would be a network partner for JetBlue’s co-brand portfolio.

Earlier this year MasterCard announced that Walmart would accept MasterPass in 2016. Walmart is American largest multinational retail corporation controlling a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores and grocery stores.

MasterPass by MasterCard is a digital payments platform that enhances the online and mobile checkout process. “We have enjoyed a longstanding business relationship with Walmart and are pleased to expand this into the online and mobile channels through MasterPass,” said Michael Cyr, group executive, U.S. Market Development at MasterCard. “With MasterPass, consumers can go online, place their order and pay with just a click. The burden of entering delivery and billing information is eliminated, further enhancing the Walmart online customer experience.”

MasterCard is a leader in the global payments industry offering the world’s fastest payments processing network, connecting consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses. It is currently available in more than 210 countries and territories. MasterCard is doing its utmost to make shopping, or to be more exact, payment process as easy, fast and reliable as possible.
