Alchemy Is Going to Become the Microsoft for Blockchain
Having received the funds from the most prominent investors, the founders of the blockchain startup Alchemy have an ambitious goal – to make their project the Microsoft for blockchain.
Reid Hoffman, founder and CEO of LinkedIn, says that his hopes rest on the digital currency which is able to show all the advantages of banking to those who still don’t get benefit from it.

According to a Greylock spokeswoman, Hoffman “hopes the video gets more people talking about crypto and its evolving role in global commerce.” Greylock invested in cryptocurrency startup Coinbase in 2017.
PayPal’s CFO John Rainey stated that while his company was definitely working to create a blockchain/ cryptocurrency framework to facilitate its payments in a more streamlined manner, he still wasn’t sure about Bitcoin’s overall scalability potential.
Similar to the Olympic Flame, the Lightning Torch has gained considerable publicity since it began in January, involving the likes of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Blockstream CEO Adam Back.
