Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, who is believed to be a creator of Bitcoin, was compelled to hire a layer to protect his private life form the intrusion of the public eye.
The highten attention was caused by Newsweek article, in which Nakamoto was exposed as the creator of bitcoin. Although the information is still not confirmed and the creator of the most popular cryptocurrency stays anonymous.
Plus to that Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto had recently announced that he “did not create, invent or otherwise work on bitcoin”. The statement was issued through his recently hired lawyer, Ethan Kirschner.
Nakamoto is almost desperate to bring his life back on track:
“I did not create, invent or otherwise work on Bitcoin. I unconditionally deny the Newsweek report My background is in engineering. I also have the ability to program,“said Nakamoto.
He continued: “My most recent job was as an electrical engineer troubleshooting air traffic control equipment for the FAA. I have no knowledge of nor have I ever worked on cryptography, peer to peer systems, or alternative currencies. Newsweek’s false report has been the source of a great deal of confusion and stress for myself, my 93-year old mother, my siblings, and their families.”
“I offer my sincerest thanks to those people in the United States and around the world who have offered me their support. I have retained legal counsel. This will be our last public statement on this matter. I ask that you now respect our privacy,” he added.
What is more, Nakamoto assures public that he heard about Bitcoin for the first time from his son only in February after he had been contacted by the reporter working on the Newsweek story.
It is understandable that public is so determined to find the mysterious creator of the most successful digital currency, as it gains weight on the market.
The Bitcoin protocol was issued in paper and the author was named Satoshi Nakamoto. He kept in touch with first customers only via mailing lists, until he began fading from the community at the end of 2010. The last news from him was in 2011, when he announced that he is moving on other things.
After the appearance of Newsweek rumors an account supposedly linked to the inventor of bitcoin was used to post to the P2P Foundation’s Ning page, stating: “I am not Dorian Nakamoto”. So it might be true, that Dorian has nothing to do with Bitcoin.
Weather Dorian Nakamoto is connected to creation of Bitcoin or not, it would be nice if the press had a mercy on him and let him alone. At the end of the day, everyone deserves some privacy.
