Qrator will give the understanding of Attention Economy that puts creators and curators on top of the Internet’s monetary food chain.

According to the press release, Synereo has completed the development of Qrator, the first “Attention Economy toolkit” component that allows users to monetize original content, get rewarded for sharing quality with others and find the best content on the web.

The release of Beta version of Qrator is scheduled for June leading towards a decentralized “Attention Economy Layer” in the next months. The “Attention Economy Layer” will include a distributed content delivery network allowing users to directly upload content to the Synereo CDN.

Synereo aims to develop a cross-platform social graph that will lay foundation for the network effects necessary to bootstrap a fully populated decentralized social content app based on blockchain and distributed storage technologies. Qrator is intended to give the understanding of Attention Economy that puts creators and curators on top of the Internet’s monetary food chain.

Synereo points to the browser extension as to the closest touchpoint of Qrator to the existing Internet.  Browser extension follows the user while browsing through content hosting platforms such as YouTube, Soundcloud and the like, and enables them to “amplify” content pieces such as videos, music clips or articles, using AMPs – Synereo’s native cryptocurrency.

According to Synereo, the “amplification” process in this regard means that the user can stake a customizable amount of AMPs on a given piece of content, spread it through various social channels, collect an AMP dividend if the piece of content appeals to the audience, and receive a share of every Amplification fee paid.

Dor Konforty, Synereo’s CEO, talked about Qrator and explained its place in Synereo’s roadmap towards a decentralized social network: “Our main goal at this stage is giving users a taste of how a network in which they are compensated for content creation and curation feels like.”

He continued: “Additionally, Qrator will allow us to build a cross-platform social graph and bootstrap network effects on top of existing services. With this information and user base, Synereo will be able to hit the ground running with its decentralized social networking app – already populated with users, their social environments, identities and histories – all securely stored on the blockchain, privately owned, accessible and controlled by them only.”

Thus, Synereo allows content creators to get income from their work and curators to find promising content and promote it among audiences interested in it.

There is Qrator Dashboard where curators and creators can see their statistics and analyze the added value they’ve created in terms of reach and traffic, and understand how their curation activity affects their AMP dividends.

There is a long and exciting road ahead of Synereo that aims to address real-world needs in the immediate future.
