This feature-length documentary film is a meticulously crafted drama which unfolds a real-time history of all the events occurring in the fintech space.

While that we have heard a lot of blockchain and cryptocurrency in the recent past, there is actually a documentary called ‘Trust Machine’ that presents the in and out of this industry! Trust Machine is not just any other piece of a story, but a meticulously crafted drama which unfolds a real-time history of all the events occurring in this space.

Trust Machine is an excellent attempt to present the intricacies of blockchain and cryptocurrency, in a comprehensible manner to the masses. It explains how, over the years, the fintech industry has managed to touch different levels of human sentiments and emotions. The feature-length documentary is a whole spice of brilliance, controversies, frenzy, regulations, and everything that goes around in the blockchain and the cryptosphere.

The Trust MachineCrew

This is the first documentary film by entertainment studio SingularDTV’s with Kim Jackson as its producer. SingularDTV is a blockchain-powered platform built on the Ethereum network and helps filmmakers to raise funds, create and distribute their content. The documentary is co-produced by Futurism Studios and award-winning Trouper Productions.

Some of the prominent industry names as executive-producers include Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, Arie Levy-Cohen, Zach LeBeau, and Alex Klokus. Alex Winter is the director of this documentary and the man behind all the scenes as the story unfolds. The story is narrated in the powerful and succinct voice of actress Rosario Dawson who takes you around explaining how blockchain is the new trend-setter.

The Trust MachineStoryline

The story beautifully enwraps several real-time events like the JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon’s sharp comments on the dangers of cryptocurrency, as well as how blockchain is playing a crucial role in solving the world-hunger and refugee crisis. The promising storyline and narrations will surely keep viewers glued to their seats for all time.

British activist and computer scientist Lauri Love kicks off the story with a compelling message saying that the blockchain technology is “going to scare the sh*t out of some very powerful people.” Love has been accused of stealing data from the U.S. government including the Missile Defence Agency. No doubt that the film talks in detail about the disruptive blockchain technology giving people a new hope breaking the existing barriers of activism, digital privacy, and power.

Mark Moss, a cryptocurrency analyst for Market Disruptors, who has been tracking this film for long, says:

“Since the dollar was removed from the gold standard in 1971 the United States and the rest of the world have moved to a debt based system and have created trillions and trillions of dollars of debt. This entire system works as long as people continue to have faith and trust in the system, but with cryptocurrency giving people a better option and blockchain, overall, driving greater decentralization, banks and any organization that holds power via a centralized action see this new era as a massive threat.”

Moss further states that the concept of digital currency has created a mass interest among individuals. He says: “Even if Bitcoin fails, people are now awake and aware, and the revolution will still continue to grow.”

Director Alex Winter Narrates His Reason Behind Making This Documentary

Winter looks to be more fascinated by the power blockchain technology offers across several industrial applications and services. He said:

“Bitcoin matters, but blockchain is really where the changes are going to come.  The implications are huge if you think about it. There are huge changes happening in our culture right now. Never has something like this happened before, ever. And it is fascinating to me. That’s why I really wanted to make this documentary.”

In an email statement to Forbes, Winter added:

“I’ve been involved in this world for a long time and was looking to tell a story that added to my prior two documentaries about the information age,  Downloaded and Deep Web.  Given the sudden popularity and curiosity about cryptocurrency and blockchain, it felt like the right time to capture this mad-moment on film. “

Winter says that the blockchain space is still evolving and a tremendous opportunity lies ahead of us. He also says that collective learning is necessary, especially from the past mistakes. “My interest is always the people at the heart of such stories, and communicating the bigger themes and sociopolitical implications, and not in attempting to explain the ‘math’ of it all,” explains Winter.

If the Trust Machine story is something that is very interesting to you, you can get the first glimpse of the documentary on October 26, 2018, in New York for a week-long run at the Cinema Village. The next schedule is on November 16th in Los Angeles at the Laemmle Monica. For folks who are, or plan to be, at these locations during this time, just don’t miss this unfolding drama.
