Apple introduces iPhone SE with Apple Pay.

Apple has recently introduced iPhone SE with Apple Pay. Apple Pay lets iPhone or Apple Watch users to pay in over a million stores accepting contactless payments. Besides, one can make purchases within participating applications.

Apple Pay is simple to use and works with the cards users already have on the devices they use every day. Besides, users’ card details are not stored on the device at all. Debit or credit card numbers are never sent to merchants. Apple Pay assigns a unique number for each purchase, so payments stay private and secure.

Paying in stores happens in one natural motion: there is no need to open an application or even wake display thanks to the innovative NFC antenna. To pay, one should hold iPhone near the contactless reader with a finger on Touch ID or double-click the Home button when iPhone is locked to access Wallet and quickly make purchases.

Wallet already stores your boarding passes, tickets, rewards cards, and more. With Apple Pay, it can store credit cards, debit cards, and store credit cards, as well. To get started, one can add the credit or debit card from iTunes account to Wallet simply by entering the card security code.

With Apple Pay, instead of using actual credit and debit card numbers when user adds a card, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored in the Secure Element, a dedicated chip in iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. When a user makes a purchase, the Device Account Number, along with a transaction-specific dynamic security code, is used to process a payment.

Furthermore, users now can see if a local store accepts Apple Pay right in the Maps application – just choose a location and look for the Apple Pay mark.

“iPhone SE is an exciting new idea — we started with a beloved, iconic design and reinvented it from the inside out. The result is the most beautiful and powerful phone with a four-inch display in the world,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iPhone SE is packed with a stunning four-inch Retina display, advanced 64-bit A9 chip with M9 motion co-processor, longer battery life, 12-megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash, Live Photos, 4K video, faster LTE and Wi-Fi, and Touch ID with Apple Pay. Everyone who wants a smaller phone is going to love iPhone SE.”

iPhone SE will be available in space gray, silver, gold and rose gold metallic finishes in 16GB and 64GB models starting at $399 (US) from Apple’s retail stores, Apple.com, Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers, or for 24 monthly payments starting at $17 (US) exclusively at Apple’s retail stores in the US.
