‘Not True’: Elon Musk Denies that He is Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto

Elon Musk denied rumors that he is the mysterious inventor of Bitcoin.

Elon Musk, the co-founder of PayPal, Tesla boss and CEO of Space Exploration Technologies, disposes of Sahil Gupta’s theory and denies he is the inventor of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency that recently shot up to a $10,000 valuation, was created in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto, whose mystery has been hotly discussed in the cryptocurrency world, as he was out of the public eye all the time. There have been a lot of theories of who stands behind the pseudonym ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’, and the latest version assigns advent of Bitcoin to Elon Musk.

Elon Musk is one the greatest entrepreneurs of our century. An ambitious billionaire, space adventurer, transport revolutionary,  co-founder of PayPal, Tesla boss and CEO of Space Exploration Technologies, Elon is currently leading a list of multiple diverse businesses which is a very rare sign in the entrepreneurial world. Elon Musk is pertinent to making rockets for travelling and creating a human ecosystem on Mars.

And at the age of just 46 these are not all of his achievements. In addition to his primary business pursuits, he has envisioned a high-speed transportation system known as the Hyperloop, and has proposed a vertical take-off and landing supersonic jet aircraft with electric fan propulsion, known as the Musk electric jet. Musk also founded The Boring Company in 2016.

The idea that Musk is Satoshi belongs to Sahil Gupta, a former SpaceX employee. In one of his blog posts he asserted that “Satoshi is probably Elon”, asked Musk to help bitcoin overcome its current network-congestion problems by offering guidance. “If Elon is Satoshi, it seems like this knowledge would become public at some point anyway.

But if it were public now, Elon could offer guidance as the currency’s ‘founding father’.” Gupta’s theory is based on Elon’s deep understanding of economics and cryptography, grip on advanced coding languages, and the fact he is a “polymath”. Gupta supposed that Musk-Nakamoto probably wanted to create Bitcoin to “solve the lack of trust in banks by creating a currency that doesn’t need them” during the recession of 2008. Bitcoin provided the alternative with a decentralized way of sending money.

Elon Musk in his twitter account responded that it is “not true”. “A friend sent me part of a BTC a few years, but I don’t know where it is.”

Later he added: “As I’ve said before, I am definitely a Martian.” He didn’t explain exactly how he made his way to Earth — whether he was sent Kal-El-style from a collapsing society or if it was just an accidental drop-off like E.T. is still unclear — but either way, the truth, as they say, is now out there.

With Musk’s recent response, the mystery of Satoshi is not unearthed yet and remains to be one of the greatest enigma in the world of cryptocurrency.
