Georgia is expected to host an Alt Convention conference on fintech innovations from October 8-10, 2015.

In October, 2015, Georgia will host Alt Convention, a conference that will bring together professionals in the technology, business and finance sectors. The event will take place in the city of Batumi from 8th to 10th of October.

While being focused on FinTech innovations, the convention will cover topics on finance, technology and business. It will address several issues, including the future of bitcoin, the blockchain technology and their potential to transform different sectors, including the finance and law.

Besides, the speakers will discuss the adoption of digital currency in developing markets, such as Eastern Europe and Asia. The introductory topics will also cover bitcoin mining, distributed storage, smart contracts and proof of stake.

The speakers will include well-known figures in the bitcoin and finance industries, including Skype co-creator Jonas Kjellberg, Bitcoin Evangelist Andreas M. Antonopoulos, co-creator of Waze, Uri Levine, Lilia Vershinina of Kraken, Founding Board Director of Bitcoin Foundation Jon Matonis and Cadigan Talent Ventures founder Steve Cadigan. More speakers are expected to be announced in the upcoming months.

CEOs of regional banks, alongside the Georgian and Ajara Ministries of Finance and Economy will also attend the event.

With a rapidly developing economy, Georgia is considered to be a center for entrepreneurs and developers. “Because of our own first-hand insight into the business, IT, and FinTech climate in Georgia, we decided to host Alt Convention. The legislative and banking climate, and growth opportunities in this emerging market are staggering,” said David Ruebush, CEO, Global Bitbillions Group Incorporated.

“While my company has been quietly developing our own blockchain project, I have spent the past year cultivating relationships with government officials and banks in Georgia. I can tell you there is a very good reason businesses such as BitFury and others are already investing heavily in this emerging market.”

Alt Convention will mainly be targeted at entrepreneurs, innovators, venture capitalists and developers in the fintech industry. In addition to panels and conference sessions, the visitors will be able to attend various cultural performances, networking events and an exhibit hall.

The convention will offer a wide range of promotion opportunities for sponsors, which already include Coinspeaker, Kraken, NewsBTC.com, Bitcoin Magazine , Bitclub Network and others.

The overall number of guests is anticipated to surpass 2500 people. Over 350 tickets at a discounted price, ranging from 10$ to 300$, have already been sold. The offering will last till June 25th, after which the tickets will be available at higher price.
