adToken (ADT) is an Ethereum-based token that’s designed to operate a blockchain-based digital advertising network. One of its primary purposes is to eliminate ad-based fraud. The ADT token provides a number of roles including the conferral of voting and depositing privileges, as well as enabling entrants to join the adToken Registry. This operates as a smart contract on the Ethereum network, accrediting domain names and vouching for their legitimacy. Bot traffic, domain spoofing and malvertisements are just some of the ad-based problems that adToken aims to solve. The concept bears some similarities to BAT and AdEx and the idea is that advertisers will be able to account for every cent they spend, whilst publishers will be able to show that ads were served to site visitors.
