The listing of these new tokens is a testament to Coinbase Custody’s plans to provide support for more assets for the benefit of its over 300 institutional clients.

Coinbase Custody, the subsidiary of the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the custody support for additional tokens. As detailed on the platform’s Twitter page, Coinbase custody now provides custody support for NuCypher (NU), Curve DAO Token (CRV), REN (REN), wBTC (WBTC), tBTC (TBTC), and DFI Money (YFII).

The capabilities of Coinbase Custody as a cryptocurrency asset custody provider is gaining ground with the platform’s frequent inclusion of new assets. New cryptocurrency projects emerge every day and the ability to provide support for the new entrants goes a long way to distinguish between the leaders in the cryptocurrency custody service niche.

In a niche notably occupied by other custody unicorns, the addition of these new coins and tokens is a statement for Coinbase Custody to maintain its position as the goto place for institutional crypto holders alike.

Coinbase Custody and Service Enablements for the Added Tokens

As noted, Coinbase clients can buy the new coins or tokens added. As the custody provider highlighted through a blog post on the listing of NuCypher, clients can also sell the token while being able to convert, send, receive, or store the NU tokens. Coinbase exhibited the interoperability of blockchain networks in the listing of these new tokens as its platforms can provide the on-demand service needs for tokens and the clients alike.

The listing of these new tokens is a testament to Coinbase Custody’s plans to provide support for more assets for the benefit of its over 300 institutional clients. According to an earlier report by Coinspeaker, the platform has grown to offer custody services amongst a diverse range of coins now totaling more than 90 percent of cryptocurrencies by market capitalization while constantly fighting to add more.

With the addition of these new tokens, the mission of the Custody arm of the top exchange to be the top crypto custody service provider is further advanced.
