There’s been a huge buzz over former US President Donald Trump launching his own official crypto “Trump Coin” as the altcoin went live for trading under the DJT ticker. However, no one is sure whether this is an official launch from the Trump team or just another Trump-themed meme coin.
In the latest development, Arkham Intelligence announced a reward of $150K for anyone willing to find out who created the Donald Trump-themed Solana token. In a post on social media platform X, Arkham Intelligence posted: “F**k it, we ball. $150,000 to the first person to definitively prove the identity of the creator of $DJT”.

On Tuesday, June 18, the DJT crypto token started surging due to an unconfirmed report stating that the former U.S. president has launched its own cryptocurrency. Soon after the value of the Trump coin (DJT) went up by a staggering 300% in just 24 hours to $0.02185 with daily trading volumes skyrocketing to a staggering $472 million.
Martin Shkreli was the first to claim online that Trump’s team or family is, in fact, behind the DJT token. Earlier this week on Monday, Shkreli reposted a tweet stating that DJT is an official Trump token.
On Monday night, Pirate Wires’ X account reported that, according to insider conversations, Trump was behind the launch of a new token, with the project being led by “Barron,” presumably referring to Trump’s youngest son. Martin Shkreli denied any involvement with the token, asserting that DJT was “an authentic Trump token”.

According to ZachXBT, an insider of DJT known as “versosol” sold $832,000 worth of DJT and subsequently deposited USDC into a centralized exchange. Martin Shkreli has announced that he is the creator of DJT. Versosol is also a major holder in Shkreli’s other project, Shoggoth. The Solana meme token DJT was previously marketed as having a relationship with Trump.
