Apple at iPhone 14 Event 2022, Here Are Details

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the iPhone 14 Pro is the high-end model for the year.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has announced new products at the recently concluded big iPhone event 2022, including the latest iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods. The event took place on 7th September at 10:00 a.m. PT and has gotten the attention of many with social media buzzing of the incoming iPhones and other Apple products. At premarket trading, Apple stock is down 1.12% to $155.77. Despite news of the incoming products, the technology company’s stock has plunged more than 7% over the past month.

During the iPhone 14 Event 2022, Apple announced the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Apple Watch Ultra, New AirPods Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, and The new Apple Watch SE were also parts of the products to expect from Apple. Beginning on 9th September, customers can now start ordering the latest phones, which will ship next week. The company added during the iPhone 14 event 2022 that the new watches will be available on Wednesday, while the new Apple AirPods Pro will not launch until 23rd September.

Apple Announces iPhone 14 Series at 2022 Event

Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the event that the iPhone 14 Pro is the high-end model for the year. While the smaller model with a 6.1-inch screen is the iPhone 14 Pro, the bigger model is the iPhone 14 Max. Contrary to analysts’ expectations, the phone’s prices did not increase. Rather. They are at the same prices as the previous year’s model. Apple said during the 2022 event that iPhone 14 Pro would start at $999. Also, the iPhone 14 Max would begin at $1,099. The iPhone 14 series comes with a “dynamic island,” which is a cutout that incorporates animations and notifications, replacing the notch.

For the iPhone 14, Apple introduced a lower-power mode for longer battery life. With an always-on display that remains when it is not in use. The iPhone 14 Pro features better low-light photography with a 28-megapixel camera and a bigger sensor. The phone uses Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chip built on a 4-nanometer process.

In addition, the iPhone maker announced a satellite emergency service for iPhones. The company announced the new ability to connect iPhone 14 series to satellite for emergency services through a partnership with Globalstar. The purpose of the feature is for the iPhone 14’s antennas to directly connect to a satellite when in a location unconnected by cell towers. Apple added that the new emergency satellite service launched in Novemerwull be free for two years with an iPhone 14.

Confirming its partnership with Apple, Globalstar said it is allocating 85% of its current and future network capacity to support the new Apple feature.
