To start using MagSafe Battery Pack on your iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max, you can order the accessory from Apple’s website. The first deliveries will begin on July 19, the price of the pack is $99.

Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) has delighted the users of the iPhone 12 with a new accessory. Specifically, Apple has launched the MagSafe Battery Pack for providing extra battery life to iPhone 12 models.

MagSafe Battery Pack: Details

According to Apple, the new MagSafe Battery Pack is attached to the back of the iPhone, which makes it easy to charge the device on the go. Besides, the charging process is wireless and safe. The tech giant is promising up to 5 watts of power when charging on the go and up to 15 watts of power when connected to a 20W or higher power source. When snapping the battery to the phone, it starts charging automatically, so there’s no need to turn it on or off.

Further, the MagSafe Battery Pack requires the iPhone to be running iOS 14.7 or later.

As for the design, the battery is made of polycarbonate and silicone materials and is available in white color, with a subtly gray Apple logo on the back.

The new MagSafe Battery Pack replaces the Smart Battery Case that Apple previously offered for older iPhones. The case also allowed users to quickly feed their battery on the go. However, the new accessory is much more convenient, as now Apple can just sell a small battery instead of having to build it into a cumbersome case.

Notably, it is not yet clear what is the capacity of the MagSafe battery pack. As one of the product photos shows, the total capacity of the battery is 1460 mAH or 11.2 watt-hours. That capacity should be enough to fully charge an iPhone 12 mini and almost fully charge an iPhone 12.

To start using MagSafe Battery Pack on your iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max, you can order the accessory from Apple’s website. The first deliveries will begin on July 19, the price of the pack is $99.

Apple Stock Goes Up at Close

Following the release of the new battery pack, Apple stock slightly rose. It ended the trading session at $145.64, or 0.79% up. However, after hours, AAPL shares declined by 0.13% to $145.45. Apple’s market cap is $2.41 trillion. Year-to-date, its stock is 9.76% up.

Some analysts are highly optimistic about Apple stock’s performance. For example, Wedbush expert Dan Ives expects the company to hit $3 trillion by 2022. He believes in the company’s software business which is currently valued at $1 trillion. The analyst expects this value to rise to around $1.5 trillion which will bring the company closer to a $3 trillion valuation.
