Binance has expanded its HODLer Airdrops program to include Simon’s Cat (CAT) and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), offering automatic token rewards to users who subscribed their BNB tokens to Simple Earn during the eligibility period.

Binance has announced the addition of two new projects, Simon’s Cat (CAT) and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), to its HODLer Airdrops program. This initiative rewards Binance users who hold and subscribe their BNB tokens to the Simple Earn feature, providing an effortless way to earn new tokens.

The subscription window for these airdrops ran from December 9 at 00:00 UTC to December 12 at 23:59 UTC. Users who participated during this period have automatically qualified for Simon’s Cat (1000CAT) and Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) token rewards. Airdrop distributions were calculated based on snapshots of users’ BNB holdings in Simple Earn products during the eligibility period.

Eligible users will receive their tokens in their Spot Wallets within 24 hours of the announcement, and the tokens will arrive an hour before trading opens.

Airdrop Details and Token Distribution

Binance announced CAT will list on December 17 at 09:00 UTC, with pairs against USDT, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY. The token has a 9 trillion max supply, with 8.1 trillion in circulation. For this airdrop, Binance is distributing 1.143 trillion CAT tokens, accounting for 12.7% of the maximum supply. Upon listing, the circulating supply will increase to 7.89 trillion tokens, equivalent to 88% of the total supply.

PENGU will go live for trading later on the same day at 14:00 UTC, with trading pairs identical to CAT. Unlike CAT, the entire supply of 88.89 billion PENGU tokens has already been minted. Airdrop rewards will distribute 2.67 billion PENGU tokens, representing 3% of the total supply. Upon listing, approximately 62.42 billion tokens (70.22% of the total) will be in circulation.

Effortless Rewards Through Binance HODLer Airdrops

To participate in the HODLer Airdrops, Binance users must subscribe their BNB tokens to either Flexible or Locked Simple Earn products. The platform uses historical snapshots of user balances during the subscription period to calculate rewards, making this a straightforward process for users seeking passive earnings. The exchange explained:

“Snapshots of user balances and total pool balances will be taken multiple times at any point of time each hour to get users’ hourly average balances in Simple Earn products (Flexible and/or Locked).”

The exchange stated that what distinguishes the HODLer Airdrops from other earning methods is that it allows users to easily earn extra tokens. With HODLer Airdrops, Binance continues to offer innovative ways for its community to access promising new projects while rewarding long-term BNB holders.

CAT has surged by more than 45% in the last 24 hours, with trading volume up 550%. Meanwhile, Pudgy Penguins will launch its PENGU token on Solana by late 2024, with a supply of 88.89 billion tokens.
