Craig Wright Claims Arrival of Bonded Courier, Kleiman Estate Says It’s BTC Addresses List

A bonded courier from Craig Wright has successfully delivered Wright’s package. However, the Kleimans say the package is a delay tactic and ask for a 90-day extension of the case.

Through a bonded courier, Craig Wright has delivered what should be the key ingredient for access to the controversial Bitcoin vault. As the case between Wright and the Kleiman estate has raged on for a while, the crypto community expected that this means the case is one step closer to resolution. However, this is not the case as the Kleiman estate has called Wright out on another case of foul play.

The Bonded Courier from Craig Wright

Last year, the case between Wright and the Kleiman estate took an interesting turn, ruling in favor of the latter. Last year, Florida federal judge Bruce Reinhart ordered Wright to turn over half of all Bitcoins mined with his former business partner, Dave Kleiman. Since the order, the case has dragged on and at some point, Wright announced that he didn’t have the private keys.

In a later announcement, Wright said the keys to the Seychelles-based Tulip Trust, where the funds are held, would be couriered. Wright said the Kleiman estate will receive the private keys from a hired bonded courier. Filing a Notice of Compliance, Wright announced that the “key slice to unlock the encrypted file” had been delivered. The plaintiffs also received a list of Wright’s Bitcoin holdings.

The Tulip Trust reportedly contains 1.1 million Bitcoins, about $9.5 billion at current prices.

The Kleiman Estate Responds To Craig Wright

In response to news of the incoming “key slice”, the price of Wright’s BSV surged. BSV now has a new all-time high, over $441. Regardless, the Kleiman team has responded.

According to a filing with the United States District Court in the Southern District of Florida, Wright’s “antics” have continued. The team says that Wright is simply delaying the case because there was no information to unlock the Tulip trust in the delivered package. Reportedly, the bonded courier only delivered a list containing thousands of addresses, without any other important information. According to them:

“The document produced by Craig is simply a list of 16,404 addresses. Craig, however, did not provide any information on the bonded courier, the company he/she worked for, when he/she came, or the message delivered.”

This development has prompted the Kleiman estate to file for a 90-day extension of the case. The filing suggests that the plaintiffs have just about had enough of the repeated delays.

The estate is also requesting to depose Craig and also do the same for “other London witnesses” including Craig’s wife. Furthermore, the plaintiffs are looking to depose nChain Chairman Stefan Matthews because Wright only recently said Matthews is privy.

The defendants have only 10 days to respond to the filing, especially the inquiry about the bonded courier.

Controversial Craig

Wright is very popular for ruffling feathers in the crypto community. He has repeatedly claimed that he is the real Bitcoin creator – Satoshi Nakamoto. He has also proceeded to take legal action against popular podcaster Peter McCormack, who said that he’s bluffing.
