The music company also added that NFT audio will also be released as part of the collaboration.

The onXRP modular ecosystem has announced a partnership with Ripple, Armada, the music label of Armin van Buuren, and Styngr, along with the release of its highly awaited free-to-play battle royale game Maladroids.

The latest partnership will see the in-game radio integrated with a playlist compiled by top electronic dance music including Tom Staar and Kryder, who both are on the Armada label.

The artists will be releasing two new pieces of music each month solely for Maladroids, according to Styngr. The music company also added that NFT audio will also be released as part of the collaboration.

“Together with these amazing partners, artists and dance producers, we’ve been able to co-create a user experience in this game, Maladroids. The dance music space has always found itself at the forefront of technological development, so working on this project feels very natural to our team,” Styngr stated.

The game is currently the first XRPL-based play-to-win multiplayer game project with rewards in XRP, OXP, and a native onXRP token.

Even though Maladroids is still in beta testing, anyone can currently play this game that is similar to the global arcade sensation Fall Guys.

The game’s creators have, however, warned players not to risk a lot of tokens because the game is still in its early stages.

Ripple was reportedly compelled to take part in the debut of the first well-known game on XRPL thanks to Kaj Leroy who’s also known as Brad Punkhouse, the head of onXRP, at Ripple’s Apex Dev Summit held recently in Las Vegas.

Maladroids, developed by onXRP, will feature ten-person teams of players competing as droids over an obstacle course while using speed and agility to push over rivals and race to the finish line.

In later editions, new game modes and maps will be included, the company revealed.

Emboldened racers can use the platforms’ and the underlying blockchains’ native tokens, $OXP and $XRP, in a cumulative pool, with the first to cross the finish line taking it all home. This is made possible by onXRP’s staking system, which enables play-to-win capabilities.

Maladroids is the first game to be hosted on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) – an open-source, public and decentralized Layer 1 blockchain.
