Following the Summit, the Rootstock protocol will be more open-sourced, giving other talented players in the ecosystem to help develop solutions that can help foster the faster adoption of its products and the general industry.

Bitcoin layer-2 smart contract network, Rootstock (RSK) has announced that its long-awaited Summit will kickstart on November 10 as it looks to bring veterans in the blockchain industry together to unveil the next phase of evolution for the protocol. As contained in a Press Release shared with Coinspeaker, the Rootstock Summit will take place in Sans Souci, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Summit has a lot of packed timelines and events, all of which will help redefine the future expectations of the protocol and how it is delivering a sound Decentralized Finance (DeFi) economy into the Bitcoin blockchain.

Confirmed speakers for the Rootstock Summit include Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar (Rootstock Co-Founder), Sergio Lerner (Rootstock Co-Founder), Eden Yago (Sovryn Core Contributor), Dan Held (Bitcoin Educator), Francisco Calderón (Lightning Network), and Diego Fernández (Secretary of Innovation and Digital Transformation, City of Buenos Aires) amongst others.

For the event, Rootstock has named a number of crypto media platforms including CoinTelegraph, BeinCrypto, Crypto Mode, and Cripto247 as its official partners for the upcoming event. The rationale behind this partnership is to get the highlight of the event out to the millions of readers that these outfits have.

“Rootstock is one of the most secure smart contract platforms in the world, bringing long-term value and sustainability to Bitcoin,” said Rootstock Co-Founder Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar, “I’m thrilled for Rootstock’s ecosystem members to come together at the Summit and celebrate the many milestones achieved in the past five years, including surpassing 50% of Bitcoin hashing power through merged mining, and seeing the launch of the first DeFi on Bitcoin protocols. The event is an incredible opportunity to build the vision of Rootstock’s future together with the community.”

Heralding the New Lease for Rootstock Protocol

From the revelation of the next plans for the Rootstock protocol from its core founders and contributors as well as the introduction of what most developers have been cooking, the Rootstock protocol Summit will help herald the next phase in the future evolution of the platform.

Rootstock remains one of the first innovations that defied the norm, building a Layer-2 protocol on top of Bitcoin that is generally regarded as impervious to such solutions. While it has been available since 2014, the Rootstock protocol currently houses some of the most functional Decentralized Finance projects in the industry including Money on Chain, Sovryn, and Tropykus amongst others.

Following the Summit, the Rootstock protocol will be more open-sourced, giving other talented players in the ecosystem to help develop solutions that can help foster the faster adoption of its products and the general industry.
