The Unpacked Event this year is expected to be exciting. Not only the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 but also the Galaxy Note20 series, the Galaxy Flip 5G, the Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Tab S7 Models are said to debut.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will launch on August 5. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants confirmed this. Display Supply Chain Consultants is known for the Display Supply Chain Consultantsrelease of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 specifications.

Ross also said that there is no change in the screen size. Other sources have confirmed a 7.7″ size. Young said that it stays the same at 7.59″.

According to the rumor mill, an October market entree for the phone was the plan.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Will Be Featured Alongside Other Devices

The Unpacked Event this year is expected to be exciting. Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (KRX: 005930) will feature the Galaxy Note20 series. Three phones will launch in the series. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, the Galaxy Flip 5G, the Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Tab S7 Models will debut.

Mobile phone manufacturers are focusing on the Chinese market for now. It is because the Chinese economy has started picking up after the COVID-19 fallout.

Other countries are still struggling to flatten the curve. The United States of America is already in a full-blown crisis at the moment. The government’s uncoordinated response has led to a massive increase in the numbers of the dead and the infected.

Samsung has been the clear market leader in mobile phones. Last year, it had a 21.8% market share and sold 298.1 million units. Huawei Technologies Co Ltd took second place with 17.6% and, Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) was on third place with 14.5%.

The recent Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 leak provided insight into what fans should expect. Apart from the 7.7″ (still 7.59″) OLED panel, sources appear to be spot on with the original’ rumors. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is said to have a 120 Hz refresh rate and touch screen technology (Wy Octa). Samsung is well-known for its clear screens.

Sources have also mentioned that the foldable phone has a higher scanning rate. It helps create sharper images. To enhance the design, Samsung will be applying foldable glass to the top of the phone’s screen. Polyimide was applied to the previous version. The camera at the rear has a 12-megapixel resolution.

Details on the Device Optics Are Still Unclear

Its camera will have a 64-megapixel and 30x zoom. The zoom lens of the previous version had a 12 million pixel resolution. There is still some uncertainty about the optics of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. In time, accurate information is bound to be released.

Samsung is the first mobile phone maker in the world to create foldable smartphones. It has caused a “foldable race” among other smartphone makers.

If everything goes as planned, we are going to be seeing Samsung cementing its lead yet again.

It, of course, will be one more plus for Samsung.
