Shiba Inu developer stated that some network issues among validators led to a temporary outage and the platform is once again functioning normally.

Shibarium, the official Layer-2 platform of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has faced a temporary network outage impacting its performance during the last weekend. Kaal Dhairya, the popular Shiba Inu developer shared this information shared this information on the X platform while offering an update on this development.

He added that some networking problems among the validators led to this temporary service outage. These Shibarium validators are specific organizations looking to verify transactions on the platform while preserving network integrity.

Despite the Shibarium network recovering fully, several services, such as block explorer Shibariumscan and external RPCs, are still unavailable, suggesting that the team is still working towards resolving a few technical issues.

“There was a temporary Shibarium outage caused because of networking issues amongst the validators. The network is back up and running now, some services like Shibariumscan or external RPCs can still remain down until the steps provided are implemented,” noted Dhairya.

Dhairya has called upon all external teams involved in the platform’s infrastructure, such as RPC, to reach out for improved communication via shared Slack and Telegram channels, especially considering that some services remain offline.

Despite this temporary outage, the Shiba Inu price hasn’t faced any major selling pressure. As of press time, SHIB price is trading 2.8% up at $0.00002727 with its market cap surging past $16 billion. On the other hand, factors such as the spike in SHIB burn rate, strong whale activity, and Bitcoin halving will further aid the SHIB price surge. Historically, the Bitcoin halving has always been a precursor for a major rally in the entire crypto market.

Shibarium Gets UI Update

The recent incident coincided with the introduction of the latest User Interface (UI) upgrade on the layer 2 protocol, aimed at facilitating the connection between Shibarium and other prominent platforms, thereby enhancing the overall blockchain experience for users.

The Shibarium team said: “We expanded wallet compatibility with MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow, Trust Wallet, and Wallet Connect to let you Shibas connect the way you want”.

This new UI update promises enhanced performance, offering a faster, smoother, and more user-friendly experience. It reflects Shibarium’s ongoing commitment to broaden accessibility and usability within the realm of decentralized finance (DeFi).
