Archie Comics leverages the blockchain to develop fan-generated art and stories, alongside the creation of Archie-inspired NFTs.

Archie Comics has made an entrance into the NFT space by partnering with Palm NFT to create the Archieverse Collection.

Per available reports, Laura Braga and Vincenzo Federici, the artists behind 80-years old Archie Comics, collaborated with Palm NFT Studio to develop a new blockchain-based writer’s room termed Archieverse: Eclipse.

Conventionally, NFTs need a huge amount of electricity as well as resources. It follows that Archie Comics plans to launch the Archieverse: Eclipse Collection on May 16, as a PFP project based on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

According to a statement on AIPT Comics, DC Comics has also joined hands with Palm NFT founded on the fact that the NFTs are environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient. The partnership also runs on the belief that their newly founded NFT is more environmentally green compared to traditional NFTs.

Inclusivity in the Archieverse

According to Archie Comics, the Archieverse will develop 66,666 generative characters alongside 3 billion outcomes interconnected through an ominous prophecy. Citing Jon Goldwater, CEO of Archie, the comic company has been popular in many households worldwide for almost a century.

The Archie executive said that Archie Comics started as a comics publisher bringing a cast of characters and storylines to the world. Inclusivity has always been part of Archie Comics, which is why fans must get their own spot in this new venture.

Paving way for the company’s evolution in 2015 with the launch of Archie Horror, Archie Comics evolved from being a premier publisher to becoming a top-tier entertainment brand with six seasons of Riverdale to show for it.

Leveraging Blockchain Tech to Develop Fan-generated Art and Stories

Archie Comics leverages the blockchain to develop fan-generated art and stories, alongside the creation of Archie-inspired NFTs. With this collaboration, AIPT Comics uses an entirely different approach compared to what rivals such as DC Comics and Marvel Studios use in marketing NFTs for collection purposes.

Archie is calling on fans to write future series, an action that would make fan-generated art and stories a fundamental element in the Archieverse. Per the report, the fans would in turn be appreciated for their creativity with special rewards.

Explaining on AIPT Comics, the project leads said that Archieverse: Eclipse collectors will have the ability to create and submit unique storylines for their characters and bask in the glory of watching their ideas being actualized.
