The first NFT collection on Škodaverse India will also focus on sustainability, and feature Škoda’s green initiatives and car models.

Škoda Auto, the Czech automobile manufacturer, has launched its NFT platform Škodaverse India. The automaker shared the news on Twitter through its Indian subsidiary, Škoda India.

What to Expect with Škodaverse India

Škodaverse India will let users create, buy, sell, and trade digital collectibles in the form of Škoda cars and characters. The platform will showcase Škoda’s heritage, design, and innovation through NFTs. Users can create their own NFTs based on Škoda’s car models and accessories, or buy existing ones from the marketplace. Also, users will be able to use the platform through a web browser or a mobile app. More than that, they will be able to pay on the platform using Polygon’s MATIC.

The Škodaverse India platform is powered by the NEAR Protocol, demonstrating Škoda Auto’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the NFT space. The first NFT collection on Škodaverse India will also focus on sustainability, and feature Škoda’s green initiatives and car models. Furthermore, the platform includes a gamified experience where users can earn rewards and unlock new content by completing missions and challenges.

According to Christian Cahn von Seelen, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Digital at Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, the platform launch represents the brand’s dive into uncharted digital territory. He said, “It’s not just about creating extraordinary digital assets, it’s about forging deep connections with a community that shares an unwavering passion for the brand.”

Škoda Auto: Rewarding passion with NFTs

Škodaverse India offers car enthusiasts and fans a new way to connect with Škoda and its products. Apart from allowing users to showcase their passion and loyalty to the brand,  Škodaverse India will help to foster a sense of community. It will also provide a potential source of income for its users.

The Czech automaker is not the first car maker to venture into the NFT space. Earlier, BMW launched its own NFT platform called BMW Vantage, allowing users to collect digital badges featuring BMW cars and events. Previously, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Benz, Porsche, and Audi all launched their NFTs too. It is clear that brands are creating new ways to engage with their customers and fans.
