The University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich is set to break new ground in cryptocurrency education by launching a pioneering Bitcoin (BTC) course in March 2025. According to reports, this innovative program is designed specifically for individuals looking to integrate Bitcoin into new business models, reflecting the increasing importance of cryptocurrencies in the modern economic landscape.

Swiss University to Offer High-Quality Crypto Education

The course will last for 16 days, offering a comprehensive training experience. Upon completion, participants will earn 15 ECTS credits, providing a substantial academic benefit alongside practical knowledge. Meanwhile, the course will cost 9,950 Swiss francs (approximately $10,794), reflecting the high-quality education and resources provided.

The curriculum is tailored to address the needs of business professionals who seek to leverage Bitcoin technology to innovate and improve their business models. Through lectures, hands-on workshops, and real-world case studies, students will understand the basic economic principles guiding cryptocurrency and examine its impact in various industries. Likewise, the course focuses on the technical aspects of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.

This course is coming at a time when spot Bitcoin ETF products are taking the center-stage around the world. With the products live in the US and Hong Kong, Australia is also set to float related products by the end of the year.

Additionally, the curriculum is tailored to address the currency state of BTC regulation and compliance and explore wealth management strategies specifically tailored for Bitcoin. Participants will be equipped with the skills needed to navigate the regulatory landscape and manage the risks associated with cryptocurrency transactions.

However, the news has sparked debate within the community. While some consider it a worthy investment given the high-quality education and the potential returns on integrating Bitcoin into business strategies, others feel it might be prohibitive for some enthusiasts and smaller businesses considering the high cost.

A Bitcoin enthusiast said he would rather invest the course fee in Bitcoin and personal learning.

Crypto Education for All

In 2022, UK fintech company Revolut launched its flagship crypto education program. The programs comprised two courses, one on crypto basics and the other on the Polkadot network. Meanwhile, Revolut remained convinced that the lessons would be relevant to all crypto users, no matter their expertise level.

Upon completion of each course, users will earn up to $15 when they pass an assessment quiz. The firm is collaborating with the Web3 Foundation behind Polkadot to make this happen.

With this product, Revolut joins the ranks of Binance Academy and Coinbase Earn, both of which have launched crypto education programs.

Launching a crypto education program is a way for the company to encourage responsible investment. While the courses won’t turn Revolut customers into investment gurus overnight, they at least give them an accurate view of the networks. This knowledge, however, can help individuals make better investment decisions.
