Ripple’s xRapid, cross-border payment solution powered by XRP, forays into the new markets: Brazil and Argentina are now in its list.

According to the announcement made by Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, their XRP-powered cross-border payment solution xRapid has reached two new countries. Now it is available in both Argentina and Brazil.

It has already become a tradition that namely the CEO himself makes announcements of the key developments at Ripple. This time, speaking at the Swiss National Bank’s conference on the international monetary system, he disclosed the new corridors opened for xRapid when he was asked about the recent achievements of his company. He stated:

“People are getting liquidity that exists in the marketplace in local regions between XRP and the Philippine peso, XRP and the Argentine peso, XRP and the Brazilian real. And it’s tapping into that liquidity that exists in the marketplace.”

Ripple has already positively estimated the results of the adoption of xRapid in such countries as Mexico and the Philippines where companies including Mercury FX power payments between the two countries.

XRP Is Getting Closer to Mass Adoption

Now, after a new wave of expansion of the xRapid product, there are even more real grounds to believe that XRP will soon get closer and closer to mass adoption and to the new heights of its value.

This year can already be considered a rather successful one for Ripple and XRP, especially given the recent bullish trends that have finally conquered the crypto market. Moreover, it is expected that in the upcoming moths we will see even higher prices that will reflect the recent and further company’s achievements.

In this context, it’s worth mentioning such new initiatives as the integration of XRP in WooCommerce, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and more.

In March, Coinspeaker reported about an important move made by XRP towards its mass adoption. Namely, at that time, the intention of Ripple-backed XRPL Labs to add XRP payment plugin to the WooCommerce was announced. A little bit later, with the XRP payment plugin submitted by Jesper Wallin, WooCommerce users got an opportunity to use XRP as a means of payment.

In April, there appeared talks about the integration of XRP in Skype where it can be used as an option for micropayments. It is supposed that it also could greatly boost the mass adoption of this crypto.

As for the price at the moment, it can’t be said that it demonstrates some unbelievable results, though over the last 7 days it has managed to gain nearly 10%, now it is still a little bit lower than the $0.40 level. At the press time, the coin is traded for $0.39.

Nevertheless, it is expected that quite soon it will reach $1, the mark that it was attached to during February 2018.
