Dreamr intends to leverage its own platform and in-app Ethereum wallet to give its users the ability to mint NFTs inside the Dreamr app, which can then be sold to other users through the planned P2P marketplace, or transferred out to other platforms like OpenSea.

Dreamr Platform Token, DMR (Bittrex Global), the Ethereum-based platform & cryptocurrency that aims to make dreams come true for its users, has come up with several unique ways to help enrich peoples’ lives. Dreamr already has a mobile application that allows users to share their dreams, a governance token that enables users to impact major project decisions, and a US Dream Machine tour that has made dreams come true across the nation. As funding gets harder to access for young entrepreneurs, Dreamr provides the opportunity to reach into a like-minded community through its peer-to-peer social media-driven app.

Still, it should come as no surprise that this Ethereum-based project uses NFTs in its wish-granting journey.

What Are NFTs?

NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique digital assets stored on the blockchain. Many NFTs are made using the ERC-721 standard, Ethereum’s NFT standard. ERC-721 can be used to create one-of-a-kind tokens with unique token IDs. Because all NFT transactions are stored on the blockchain, including the creation of the NFT, you can easily ensure that the NFTs you purchase aren’t counterfeit. Many creators also produce fungible tokens, which are often still referred to as NFTs. Fungible tokens usually have a limited supply but are not one-of-a-kind. Dreamr uses both fungible and non-fungible tokens in its mission to enrich its users’ lives.

Richard Hutchins x Tillavision

In early 2021, Dreamr helped a man named Richard Hutchins achieve his dream of reclaiming his life as a professional artist. Richard was homeless at the time, but within just a few days of connecting with Dreamr, he had sold a staggering $200,000 worth of art.

On July 7, 2021, Dreamr announced a one-of-a-kind NFT auction featuring a collaboration between Richard and Tillavision, a popular NFT artist that has worked with high-profile musicians such as Swae Lee, JuiceWRLD, and DJ Khaled. The NFT auction ended with the piece selling for 1.4 ETH, and all proceeds going directly to Richard.

Dreams to Reality NFT Collection

Another unique way Dreamr uses NFTs to uplift their community is by giving them away to users that help make dreams come true. For example, while the Richard Hutchins auction took place, Dreamr rewarded users with a free NFT called “From Homeless to Historic,” giving people who couldn’t afford the Tillavision collab a chance to own a piece of the moment.

The Dreams to Reality NFTs are given away for free to any user that directly contributes to the dream. The collection is currently made up of four different fungible tokens representing four unique dreams. One such NFT is “Violets Are Kinda Purple #DMT21,” which was given to Dreamr community members who supported the launch of the VioletsAreKindaPurple clothing line. VioletsAreKindaPurple is a clothing line designed by Mathew Fernandez, a young man with cerebral palsy who dreamed of becoming a successful fashion designer and being able to walk on his own. With the help of the Dreamr team, Matthew’s hand drawn designs are brought to life on a wearable canvas for the world to see. To date, Matthew has sold over $300,000 worth of merchandise on his website, enabling him to afford the physical therapy and other things necessary to improve his condition.

NFT Plans in the Works for Creators

Dreamr intends to leverage its own platform and in-app Ethereum wallet to give its users the ability to mint NFTs inside the Dreamr app, which can then be sold to other users through the planned P2P marketplace, or transferred out to other platforms like OpenSea. Dreamr is currently integrating the Polygon Layer 2 scaling solution to allow its creators to mint and transfer NFTs on the dreamr platform with no gas fees. With Dreamr’s focus to help creators monetize the platform, it is exploring ways to turn user-generated dream content into NFTs as well. Dreamr app users will be able to display NFTs publicly on their profile inside a gallery.

Dreamr has already proven they can use NFTs to enrich their users’ lives, and as they continue to grow, they’ll undoubtedly continue to use them for the good of others.
