Spotify carries out a series of tests like the new token-enabled music playlists to explore how to offer better user experience to customers.

Spotify (NYSE: SPOT), Swedish audio streaming and media services provider, has rolled out a new service called the “token-enabled playlists.” The new service is currently being tested, and it allows non-fungible tokens (NFTs) holders to connect their wallets to their Spotify app and listen to curated songs.

Spotify Begins Testing of Token-Enabled Playlists

In its testing stage, Spotify said the token-enabled playlists are available to token holders in the Overlord, Kingship, Moonbirds, and Fluf communities. The community members will be given a unique link to provide them with access to the curated playlist. Notably, Spotify said the testing period for the token-enabled playlist is three months. Overlord took to Twitter to express its excitement over its partnership with Spotify on the pilot of token-enabled playlists. The Web3 company said Creepz NFT holders can connect their wallet to the audio streaming platform to access its first community-curated playlist.

Dubbed “Invasion,” the playlist is only available on Android for now as the pilot is in the US, UK, New Zealand, Australia, and Germany. Spotify confirmed the news of the token-enabled playlist shared by Overload in a tweet reply. The audio streaming service provider said it is thrilled to “explore” with the Web3 company.

Similarly, Kingship announced its exclusive playlist as it collaborates with Spotify on the new token-enabled playlist. It added that holders of the KINGSHIP Key Card have exclusive access to the new service. Noting its continuous effort to be at the “forefront of technology and music,” the supergroup said the playlist features some of its favorites. They include Missy Elliott, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Snoop Dogg.

“This is a special moment. We’re all about unlocking real value for our community and pushing the boundaries of music and blockchain, and having our holders be at the forefront of this space.”

Furthermore, NFTX’s lead protocol developer Apoorv Lathey posted a screenshot of the new service. The image displays the gradual process of accessing KINGSHIP’s curated playlist on Spotify. The post reveals that the accepted wallets are Rainbow, Zerios, Ledger Live, Trust Wallet, or Metamask wallets.

Spotify’s Continuous Efforts on Improved Users’ Experience

A spokesperson for the company said Spotify carries out a series of tests like the new token-enabled music playlists to explore how to offer better user experience to customers. According to the representative, some of the tests succeed and become additional features to the existing platform. On the other hand, the company learns from the unsuccessful one.

Spotify has more than 489 million users across many countries, including Europe and Africa. The company has popped over 52% since the year began. This is in addition to the 53.42% increase recorded in the last three months. Spotify has also gained 18.53% over the past month.
