Virtune has announced that it will list Finland’s first crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) on Nasdaq Helsinki. This makes it easier and safer for Finnish investors to invest in crypto assets using familiar and reliable financial instruments, all in their local currency. It also introduces multiple crypto ETPs to Finland, allowing investors to trade them in euros through major Nordic financial institutions like Nordnet and other brokers.

This launch marks several important milestones for Finland’s financial markets. It is the first time crypto ETPs have been listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, with five products introduced together, making it the largest crypto ETP launch in the Nordics. It also introduces regulated staked ETPs for Finnish investors, where staking rewards are included in the daily price.

Opening Finland’s €20.5B ETP Market to Crypto Investment

This launch opens up Finland’s €20.5 billion ETP market to crypto, allowing investors to access crypto through their regular brokerage accounts for the first time. Virtune CEO Christopher Kock stated that the company is excited to be the first to bring a safe and regulated crypto ETP to the Nordic market. He added that the listings in euros on Nasdaq Helsinki are an important step in their progress. Christopher said:

Virtune’s launch includes five fully backed and secured euro-denominated ETPs: the Bitcoin ETP offering direct BTC $87 418 24h volatility: 0.8% Market cap: $1.73 T Vol. 24h: $29.17 B exposure, the Staked ETH $2 057 24h volatility: 0.4% Market cap: $248.04 B Vol. 24h: $11.78 B ETP with enhanced returns through staking benefits, the XRP ETP providing XRP $2.45 24h volatility: 0.9% Market cap: $142.64 B Vol. 24h: $2.30 B access, the Staked Solana ETP offering both SOL $142.5 24h volatility: 1.9% Market cap: $72.90 B Vol. 24h: $3.96 B exposure and a 3% staking return, and the Crypto Altcoin Index ETP which tracks up to 10 alternative digital assets (excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum) with monthly rebalancing.

Expanding Nasdaq’s Presence in Europe with Virtune as a Key Partner

Helena Wedin, European Head of Exchange Traded Products at Nasdaq, stated that they have built a strong presence in Europe, boasting a market share of about 23%. She also welcomed the opportunity to expand their services to Nasdaq Helsinki, making these products available locally, with Virtune as the first issuer.

Henrik Husman, President of Nasdaq Helsinki, stated that ETP products provide opportunities for alternative investments while maintaining transparency in the market. He added that they are excited to introduce this new category at Nasdaq Helsinki, with Virtune as the first issuer. He said:
