Apple Unveils Apple One Subscription and Fitness+ Virtual Workouts

Apple bundles all its subscription services under the ‘Apple One’ subscription with additional benefits. The tech giant also extends its footprint in the tech-fitness market by announcing its Apple Fitness+ service for Apple Watch users.

On Tuesday, September 15, Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) unveiled its new one-stop subscription service Apple One and personalized fitness experience Apple Fitness+. The Apple One bundles multiple subscription services like Apple TV Plus, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus, Apple Fitness+ and the iCloud storage.

This move comes as Apple is working to expand its services business over the next decade. The company announced that the Apple One subscription shall be available in 100 countries. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said:

“Apple One makes enjoying Apple subscription services easier than ever, including Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud, and more. With Apple One, you can access the best of Apple entertainment across all your favorite devices with one simple subscription.”

The company has segmented the Apple One subscription in three different plans: Individual, Family, and Premier. All three plans are priced at $14.95, $19.95, and $29.95 respectively. Each of these plans stacks more services and additional iCloud storage as one moves from Individual to Premier. Also, the Family and Premier plans can be shared among six family members with individual accounts and preferences. Apple is offering a 30-day free trial for first-time subscribers.

It is also clear that Apple is creating its own ecosystem that lets its users navigate seamlessly among all its services.

Apple Offers Fitness+ for Personalized Fitness Experience

Apple has a major announcement for all its Apple Watch users and fitness enthusiasts. On Tuesday, the tech giant also announced its personalized fitness experience Apple Fitness+ for all Apple Watch users. Fitness enthusiasts at all levels access studio-style workouts delivered by world-class trainers. Jay Blahnik, Apple’s senior director of fitness for Health Technologies, said:

“We’re so excited to energize our customers with new ways to get active and stay active with Apple Watch. With diverse studio workouts that are suitable for all ability levels, led by a phenomenal group of unique trainers, and an approachable program designed for beginners all the way through to the fitness enthusiast — as well as the flexibility to work out anywhere — there’s something for everyone. We know Fitness+ will take working out with Apple Watch to the next level with unparalleled engagement, convenience, and inspiration.”

To provide a personalized, engaging, and immersive experience, Fitness+ uses the company’s tech intelligence to help you stay motivated throughout. The Apple Fitness+ uses a custom recommendation engine to suggest the right workout to balance their routine. Additionally, customers can also choose intuitive filtering to select their workout type, trainer, music, and time duration.

Besides, one can also watch all the Apple Watch directly on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV during the workout period. The Apple Fitness+ service shall be available by the end of 2020.

On Tuesday closing, the AAPL stock was trading at a price of $115 with a market cap of $2 trillion. The AAPL stock is trading at a 70% premium year-to-date.
