iEx.ec demonstrates the potential of the internet of the future by introducing the advantages of its first Blockchain-based, fully distributed cloud computing platform.

iEx.ec has announced the release of the first version of whitepaper depicting the future of Internet. iEx.ec focuses on its vision, the market, development roadmap and the upcoming crowd sale of its tokens scheduled for January 17, 2017 in the document.

iEx.ec which stands for “I Execute” is a followup to the CloudPower project, which was supported by the French National Research Agency (French), the University of Lyon, the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science (INRIA), the University of Paris XI, and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).  The French/Chinese company is headquartered in Lyon, France with an office provided by Tsinghua University X-elerator.

The first presentation of the iEx.ec platform took place at the Ethereum Devcon2 conference in Shanghai, China in September 2016. A couple of months later, the team demonstrated a demo of the platform at the Super Computing Exhibition 2016 held in Salt Lake City.

iEx.ec intends to use its platform to offer blockchain-based distributed applications as a reliable, secure and easy way to get access to the computing resources required for their execution. The blockchain enables the creation of a market network where everyone has an opportunity to monetize servers, applications, and data-sets. This technology extends the Ethereum smart contracts allowing the creation of virtual Cloud infrastructure that provides High-Performance Computing (HPC) services on-demand.

“iEx.ec leverages a set of research technologies that have been developed at the INRIA and CNRS research institutes in the field of Desktop Grid computing. The idea of Desktop Grid (aka Volunteer Computing) is to collect the computer resources underutilized on the Internet to execute very large parallel applications at the fraction of the cost of a traditional supercomputer”, says the whitepaper.

iEx.ec relies on XtremWeb-HEP, a mature, solid, and open-source software which implements all the needed features such as fault-tolerance, multi-applications, multi-users, hybrid public/private infrastructure, deployment of virtual images, data management, security and accountability, and more.

The company is developing a new Proof-of-Contribution protocol that will allow external resource providers to certify their resource usage directly on the Blockchain. iEx.ec announces its plans to deploy a scalable, high-performance, secure and manageable infrastructure sidechain that will promote a new form of distributed governance, implying key HPC, Big Data, and Cloud industry leaders.

iEx.ec team strongly believes in the potential of decentralized infrastructure and market network where Big Data, HPC, IoT, and AI applications, highly valued data-sets, and computing resources are monetized directly on the blockchain and the highest level of transparency, resiliency, and security is provided.
