Former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho is creating his own RSC Coin in partnership with the World Soccer Coin.
Brazillian football legend Ronaldinho, or Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, has announced launching of his own cryptocurrency. The project aims to establish a football academy, host amateur and global league matches, develop and operate a betting platform and marketplace, and develop digital VR stadiums for analyzing skills of players and creating a blockchain database, which will help to establish new teams. The currency called Ronaldinho Soccer Coin (RSC) is based on the NEO blockchain platform.

Speaking of the project, Ronaldinho said: “Ever since I thought of retiring, I started to think about my life after retirement. I wish to contribute to the world as much as I can.”
The coin has a total supply of 350 million. 150 million of them will be offered in a privately-run sale which starts in a few days. However, the project’s whitepaper has not been published yet.
The new token will even be used to provide numerous services. Firstly, it will provide access to digital stadiums, Super League as well as E-Sports. The stadiums will be developed in 300 locations around the world, with facilities planned for countries in Africa, S.E. Asia, and the Middle East over the next three years.
Secondly, buying digital content with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) will be possible. Other services include gambling on e-Sports and the Super League; providing training at Soccer Academy; supporting a football team, players, and the Smile project (backed by WSC); purchasing goods online.
Ronaldinho is not the first star to come up with his own cryptocurrency. Many celebrities have entered the crypto world as well. A famous Uruguayan footballer showed interest in Ethereum and Stox. The player supported the alpha launch of the Stox platform on his Twitter.
A reality television star and entrepreneur Paris Hilton was planning to take part in the ICO of AI startup Lydian launched by Gravity4.
Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather started promoting the ICO of a blockchain prediction company Stox on his Instagram. Mayweather said he expects to make a “ton of money” from the crowdfunding campaign that will start at the very beginning of August.
