Starting from now on, Freewallet users will be able to manage and store all ten of the most popular coins on the market (according to the capitalization rankings from January 2019).
XLM is already live on Freewallet: Crypto Wallet, available for Android, iOS and the Web. This initial release will be followed by the launch of a stand-alone Freewallet XLM Wallet for Android. The latest addition of Stellar coin to Freewallet’s long list of supported currencies means XLM hodlers will have access to the wide range of advantages provided by Freewallet wallets:
Solomon Brown, Head of PR at Freewallet, comments:
“We hit a great milestone by adding Stellar coin: as the list of coins we offer expands, the opportunities for our users grow as well. We have achieved one of our most desirable goals – getting all top ten coins on the market in our wallet. There are many more plans we’ve got in mind, and I’m very excited about what’s ahead.”
Indeed, XLM is the last coin of the top-10 to be added to Freewallet, joining BTC, XRP, ETH, EOS, USDT, BCH, LTC, TRX, and BSV. Notably, 3 of top-10 (XLM, XRP, EOS) coins entered the list of supported currencies over the last three months.
Stellar is a platform for foreign exchange transactions operating in real time with an internal coin – Stellar Lumens (XLM). Stellar promises to facilitate low-cost payments between different currencies and borders, making them almost instant (2-5 seconds). Its official mission statement involves expanding access to low-cost financial services to fight poverty.
Freewallet develops hosted wallets with built-in exchanges for web, iOS and Android devices, capable of storing more than 50 cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Monero all in one place. In 2018 Freewallet was listed as the third most popular online wallet for Android.
Freewallet’s first mobile cryptocurrency wallet was released for Android in January, 2016. As of 2019, the Freewallet family has grown to include Freewallet: Crypto Wallet wallet on iOS, Android and the web, Lite Wallet, 10 single currency wallets on iOS, and 23 single currency wallets on Android.
