AdEx, a decentralized digital advertising exchange built on Ethereum blockchain technology, today launched its initial token sale and collect ed over $10,000,000 in three hours. AdEx is the latest creation of the team behind successful video entertainment hub Stremio. The token sale began June 30 and end on July 20 or when the maximum amount of tokens are sold.
Led by Ivo Georgiev and Dimo Stoyanov, AdEx aims to disrupt the existing online advertising landscape and address significant problems it faces, including advertising fraud, privacy and consent to receiving sponsored messages, and the rise of ad blockers. With ADEx Network, online marketers, publishers, and consumers are connected via powerful blockchain technology, allowing for unprecedented consumer privacy and publisher transparency.
“With online advertising surpassing all other advertising mediums and accounting for close to 40% of global marketing and advertising spend in 2017, we see the need for innovation in this area,” said Ivo Georgiev, the CEO of AdEx. “Blockchain is a natural evolution for digital advertising.”
AdEx is built on the Ethereum blockchain and creates a universal ad network solution that will be designed to work on any browser or platform. In contrast to similar projects, it is easy to implement and will work out of the box with no further technical setting. The project is supported by industry influencers such as Bitmain, WINGS, and FBG.
