As the number of promising and already successful companies working with blockchain technology in Slovenia is constantly growing, the country is gaining a reputation of the world’s crypto state. Having a goal to make Europe a global blockchain hub, the Blockchain Alliance Europe will organize the European Blockchain Summit  in Slovenia.

The event will take place on April 11, 2018. Among the speakers of the summit are the Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, the co-founder of Crypto Valley Labs, Zug, Ralf Glabischnig, Slovenian Prime Minister Dr. Miro Cerar and many other exceptional persons.

One of the main worries for the stakeholders of the blockchain industry is absence of clear regulations. The key idea of the European Blockchain Summit is to encourage closer collaboration between blockchain and government officials in a direct open communication.

The event will be organized thanks to joint efforts of the Blockchain Alliance Europe, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and ConsenSys. Their common work will allow to host this major event, invite speakers and welcome participants from abroad.

The attendees will have a chance to discuss the funding opportunities and prospects for companies dealing with blockchain in Europe, the blockchain & ICO regulation, the European blockchain initiatives and many other related issues. The event will help participants to exchange their experience and establish valuable contacts for further business interaction.

The organizers are especially proud to inform that a blockchain pioneer, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin has accepted their invitation to become a keynote speaker at the Summit. Joseph Lubin is not only one of the key person of Ethereum that is, the second-largest public blockchain by total value, he also has established one of the largest blockchain technology startups – ConsenSys.

Among other opinion leaders who have confirmed their participation are Ralf Glabischnig, a co-founder of Crypto Valley Labs, Zug, and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, Executive Chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology. They will present their points of view regarding blockchain and ICO regulation.

Participants will have an opportunity to listen to a presentation devoted to the issues of implementation of blockchain in the music industry. This panel discussion will be hosted by Holm Keller, Executive Chairman of the kENUP Foundation, and Imogen Heap, the Grammy Award-winning musician who is also a celebrity ambassador for the blockchain-based live-music ecosystem Viberate.

Sam Cassatt, CSO of ConsenSys, Nino Vang, Co-founder of LedgerState and others will share their opinions on the ways of application of blockchain technologies in different industries, including medicine and finance.

The third panel will be devoted to the issues of the EU funding opportunities for blockchain. Stefan Klauser from ETH Zurich and other panelists will take part in this discussion.

As it has been already mentioned above one of the organizers of the event is the Blockchain Alliance Europe. This international organization is aimed at transforming Europe into a global blockchain destination. Its task is to create an appropriate conditions for its members (ViberateSpartan SolutionsNetisCofound.itHive Project, Sun ContractSportyCo) to join forces with a view to enhance European blockchain companies development.
