European NFT Platform Nabs $1.5 Million to Transform the Music Industry

In less than four months, a new remote European-based NFT startup, Digital Renaissance, has grown from 5 to 27 employees, launched their own token, raised $1.5M solely through presale of their token, and are now getting ready to launch their beta marketplace.

Digital Renaissance is on a mission to create a world in which underground artists, musicians, and brands can utilise blockchain technology to create new revenue streams and to build stronger connections with their fans. They do so by enabling musicians to sell part of their royalties as NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

Brett Voorzaat, CEO of Digital Renaissance explains:

“Today, musicians are highly dependent on income from their shows while streams on services like Youtube and Spotify contribute very little to up-and-coming artists’ paycheck. Our mission is to create a new way for artists to make a living of their work and passion.”

Artists can sell all or parts of the rights to their music as NFTs. Every time their NFT is resold, she/he will receive a percentage of the resale price in royalties.

Launches in Q2 2022

Digital Renaissance will begin launching their products in Q2 2022. The launches will include their NFT Marketplace, an NFT boutique, a launchpad for 3rd-party tokens and unique events.

Artists, fans, supporters and investors will be able to take part in exclusive events, gain access to music releases, purchase merchandise and of course buy and sell NFTs.
