As Bill and Melinda Gates have decided to part ways, some insider details of Bill’s alleged affair and sexual relationship with a female Microsoft employee have come to the surface.
A week back or two, billionaire Bill Gates announced a divorce with wife Melinda Gates after nearly 27 years of marriage. As per the fresh report from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) last Saturday, Bill Gates left the Microsoft board due to concerns about his alleged relationship with a female Microsoft employee.
Thus, Microsoft board members arrived at a decision in 2020 that it wasn’t appropriate for Bill Gates to continue. The WSJ report also mentioned that the board members involved with this matter hired a law firm in late 2019. This happened as the female Microsoft engineer alleged that she was in a sexual relationship with Gates for over several years.
However, Gates had resigned before the board’s investigation came to conclusion. An unnamed spokeswoman for Gates also confirmed WSJ that the affair was 20 years ago and has ended “amicably”. However, the spokesperson added that “his decision to transition off the board was in no way related to this matter.”
While leaving Microsoft last year, Gates said that he now wanted to put focus on philanthropy causes. Since more details came to the surface, the company’s leadership had to take a call. WSJ notes that they called the relationship between Gates and the female employee “inappropriate”.
Bill Gates Dealings with Sex Offender Jeffery Epstein
Microsoft board members raised concerns about Bill Gates’s dealings with sex offender Jeffery Epstein. As the news comes around, Epstein had advised Bill on ending his marriage with Melinda. As per The Daily Beast, Gates used to meet Epstein at his New York townhouse and Bill used to talk on a topic of “toxic” marriage.
In between 2011 and 2014, Bill Gates reportedly met Jeffery Epstein a dozen times. A source familiar with the matter told the media house: “Going to Jeffrey’s was a respite from his marriage. It was a way of getting away from Melinda”.
The sources familiar with the matter also noted that Gates found “freedom in Epstein’s lair. However, a representative for Bill Gates told the publication that all these gossips are false.
“Your characterization of his meetings with Epstein and others about philanthropy is inaccurate, including who participated. Similarly, any claim that Gates spoke of his marriage or Melinda in a disparaging manner is false. Bill never received or solicited personal advice of any kind from Epstein— on marriage or anything else. Bill never complained about Melinda or his marriage to Epstein,” added the representative.
