NFT Project KRebels Partners with IFAW over Koalas Preservation

Although non-fungible tokens are relatively new, some experts believe that the new trend is here to stay. However, KRebels NFT has uniquely distinguished itself from others. The NFT project has a mission of saving Koalas from going into extinction. KRebels is an innovative NFT project that aims to use crypto and technology to support the conservation of Koalas on earth. To this cause, the project has partnered with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and has donated $50,000 and 5% of its sales.

The founder of KRebels was inspired by the tragic bushfire that happened in Australia in 2020 that rendered Koalas practically homeless. At the time, he was on a business trip in South Australia, and the news hurt him. Therefore, he tried to participate in rescue missions, after which he realized that was not enough. Two years after the incident, KRebels came to light.

KRebels Aims to Save Koalas From Extinctions Using NFT

KRebels currently has a collection of 1,999 NFTs on OpenSea to create awareness for Koalas protection. According to a statement on the NFT marketplace, holders of the NFTs who keep them “will be eligible to win exclusive giveaways up to 25 ETH as well as an airdrop of the new generation collection.”

KRebels creator, JAYMI, said in a statement:

“I’m very focused on cryptocurrencies and NFTs. My main goal is to save Koalas while using instruments I’m fluent with. So let’s talk less and act more! The day will come when you’ll be glad you adopted a cute KRebels Koala.”

In addition to using NFTs to save Koalas, KRebels also has plans for the Metaverse. The team is working on producing a show and game experience for holders of the NFTs. Furthermore, KRebels members will have access to luxurious Koala-ty life, including fashion shows, charity galas, and music events. According to KRebels roadmap, the goal is to bring Koalas to its metaverse forest. The NFT project wrote on its website that holders would have access to private events, educational activities, and other fun experiences where they will receive rewards.

Additionally, KRebels holders will be able to belong in the community and guide the project’s process. A percentage of the KRebels proceeds go to projects with the mission of preserving Koalas.

It appears KRebels have managed to draw attention even though it is evolving. The pre-sale of the NFT was done within minutes. Altogether, 9,999 KRebels will be created, among which 9 are legendary, and 90 are rare. The concluding 9000 KRebels are unique, and each cost 0.1 ETH, gas fees inclusive.
