The Sandbox Partners with Entertainment Giant CJ ENM to Bring Diverse Content to Metaverse

CJ ENM will leverage The Sandbox blockchain network to bring immersive content experiences to its massive user base in the Metaverse.

On Thursday, July 7, decentralized gaming ecosystem The Sandbox announced its partnership with global entertainment content leader CJ ENM. The goal is to bring diverse content to all the users within the Metaverse.

The Sandbox and CJ ENM

CJ ENM has been looking for ways to expand its content in the virtual world and provide an immersive viewing experience to customers. However, it plans to do this via a fan-participatory service by combining real-life and virtual experiences. Thus, within its television program, it will showcase CJ ENM content user’s activity in the metaverse. Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea said:

“We’re proud to be the partner of South Korea’s leading content company CJ ENM. CJ ENM covers all kinds of genres; dramas, movies, entertainments, musicals, etc. This diverse content will enrich the metaverse with many enjoyable experiences.”

CJ ENM will also be collaborating with The Sandbox to build “K Content Metaverse”. It will do it by using its Intellectual Property (IP) of globally popular television series and movies and bring new types of experiences to users. Sang Yeop Kim, Head of Content R&D Center of CJ ENM said:

“We will carry out various metaverse-related projects starting with our partnership with The Sandbox. CJ ENM will provide a new level of experience where users get to make their own content as the creators.”

Meta Hollywood Partners with The Sandbox

It’s raining partnerships for The Sandbox at this stage. A day before on Wednesday, July 6, The Sandbox entered into a partnership with Meta Hollywood, the largest virtual community for movie lovers, studios, and creators.

Meta Hollywood is a project launched by Animoca Brands in partnership with the Planet Hollywood Group. Meta Hollywood has acquired a big plot on The Sandbox wherein it will host Hollywood-themed events and experiences. It will further invite guests to The Sandbox to experience multiple unique adventures.

“I’m very excited about our partnership with The Sandbox, which allows us to provide our community members and users with an exclusive, first-of-its-kind Hollywood backlot experience where they can interact and own assets in a dynamic virtual environment made possible by Web3 technology,” said Meta Hollywood co-founder Robert Earl, speaking of the development.
