The Block, one of the popular crypto media companies, has expanded its product offerings to include a new blockchain conference dubbed Emergence.
According to an official press release on March 19, 2024, the company said the conference is scheduled to be held on December 5 and 6 at the Prague Congress Center in the Czech Republic, Europe.
The Block Introduces New Blockchain Conference
The company has now joined the likes of other media outlets such as CoinDesk and Cointelegraph in hosting its own native conference.
During the December event, Emergence will feature different prominent personalities and speakers in the crypto industry including people like Anthony Scaramucci, founder of Skybridge, Paolo Ardoino, the chief technology officer at Tether, Emin Gun Sirer, co-founder of Avalanche, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko and Meltem Demirors, a senior executive at CoinShares.

Emergence will also foster different collaborations across the globe through a partnership with Foresight Ventures, a digital asset focused investment company.
The newly launched blockchain conference will cover various topics across different sectors in the crypto industry. Some of the topics expected to be discussed at the event include cross-chain integration, exclusive VIP interactions, discussions on ETFs and asset management, and navigating regulatory frameworks.
Emergence is also expected to provide global insights from Asia and the Middle East. The event will see about 80 speakers in attendance. So far, more than 2,000 people have signed up to participate in the conference.
The Block said that Emergence aims to be a transformative event, combining innovation with inspiration.
A Natural Progression
The company also claimed in the press release that sponsoring Emergence 2024 will offer brands a unique opportunity to engage with blockchain, Web3, and the broader crypto communities.
The conference will provide a platform for brands to showcase their presence in front of many crypto leaders and blockchain innovators, giving their brand opportunity to reach an even wider audience.
Larry Cermak, The Block’s chief executive officer said the new business venture is a natural progression from the company’s years of work since its establishment.
He believes Emergence will provide high-level executives with a unique platform for engaging in discussions on the industry’s most significant issues and trends.
“Emergence will afford high-level executives a unique platform for engaging in thoughtful, meticulously curated discussions on the foremost issues and trends influencing our industry—ranging from regulatory challenges and scaling solutions to the emerging field of crypto asset management. Additionally, the picturesque setting of Prague will provide a distinctive experience and create lasting memories,” he said.
The company’s director of events Meg Podgorski also shared the same sentiment with Cermak stating that the team has worked very hard to make Emergence a reality and to create a unique experience different from others in the crypto sector.
