The Apple Event is expected to focus on the iPhone 12, which is dubbed as the best model ever produced by the company.

Giant smartphone maker Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) yesterday announced it plans to hold this year’s Apple Event virtually on September 15. According to details provided through its official webpage, the event will be held at Apple Park.

Consequently, the news sparked a buy call in the Apple shares that had jumped approximately 2.60% at Wednesday’s pre-market trading session.

Apple customers have been eagerly awaiting the release of the 5G network iPhones to compete with other smartphone makers globally including Samsung that unveiled its latest products earlier in the year.

Focus on the Apple Event

The event is expected to focus on the iPhone 12, which is dubbed as the best model ever produced by the company. The smartphone is said to be offered at an affordable price.

According to different sources that have highlighted the expected specification of the iPhone 12, the phone will come in 5.4 and 6.1-inch size options. The 5.4-inch model will be the smallest ‌iPhone‌ that Apple has released in years.

On the other hand, the ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro, the higher-end flagship ‌iPhone‌ models are expected to come in 6.1 and 6.7-inch screen size options. The 6.7-inch ‌iPhone‌ will be the largest ‌iPhone‌ that Apple has ever released.

In addition, Apple is expected to release other cutting edge products including the new iPad model, Apple Watch Series 6, refreshed MacBook Air, AirPods Studio headphones, AirTags, a wireless charging mat of some kind, and a smaller, low-cost HomePod.

Most of these products are expected to be pocket friendly, putting into perspective the market has been flooded by smartphones and the demand is low compared to the pre-corona era.

However, since Apple has enjoyed a successful global market reception, it is banking on that to win more customers amid decreased global smartphone shipments. The company shared a YouTube placeholder video for the virtual event, which will be available live on YouTube, the Events app on ‌Apple TV‌, and the Events website on Apple devices. As was done with the WWDC that was hosted by the company to keep its fanatics engaged, the company is likely going to make the event colorful with its surprises for the year.

The competition will be stiff after the release of 5G supported iPhones that will put the company at per if not leading the pack. However, the company announced that this year’s shipments will begin weeks later, presumably in October.
