Apple’s new iPhone 12 will have features similar to the latest iPad, although the launch may be delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus. Apple has designed a smaller HomePod, and also is going to launch location tags to help real-world objects tracking.

Through a detailed blog post, Bloomberg highlighted the major key features of the next new iPhone model, the iPhone 12. It confirmed that iPhone 12 will look like a tiny iPad Pro, in most of the external features. It is anticipated that Apple will include 5G capabilities in all the next releases of the iPhone.

In addition, Apple has been designing a smaller and also cheaper HomePod speaker. According to the post, the HomePod will have half the size of the predecessor and in a similar shape. Apple is said to be preparing to launch it in the second half of the year.

In the bucket list, Apple is also preparing to launch apple tags, which is a mind-blowing tech to assist in asset tracking. The tracker will be able to track virtually anything even if your apple device is not near and connected to the internet. This will be a solution with the ‘Find My’, which mostly requires the device being tracked to be connected to the internet.

Other devices set to be updated include the MacBook Pro, the Apple TV, cheaper iPad and also a new iMac.

The launching may, however, be delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis that has gripped the world in fear. The company has its assembly and engineering sections in China where the virus began, as a result, the supply chain has been adversely affected.

iPhone 12 Features

According to sources familiar with the project, the new iPhone 12 will have flat stainless steel edges, instead of the previous curved design. Besides, it will feature more sharp and rounded corners similar to the state of art, iPod Pro, launched back in 2018.

In a cool throwback, iPhone enthusiasts will enjoy the original feel of the iPhone 5, which had a unique shape mostly flat screen and blockish edges, in a new technological dimension. There are finer details that will make iPhone enthusiasts cough the extra cash to acquire the device.

According to Bloomberg, the upcoming iPhone Pro will feature three rear cameras. In addition, Apple will add the 3-D Lidar system, which is a tech advancement to make the devices compatible with augmented reality applications.

In regard to the screen size, Apple is said to have designed the iPhone 12 screen a bit larger than the predecessor iPhone 11, which has 6.5-Inch. Apple has worked on a device that will be compatible with artificial intelligence and mostly augmented reality tasks.

Meanwhile, today Apple (AAPL) stock is slightly up. It is trading at $269.10 (+0.41%).
