The TravebyBit crypto rewards card launched in cooperation with Binance is like a traditional prepaid debit card that supports four different cryptocurrencies.

Pushing the crypto use in the tourism industry, crypto exchange Binance has entered a partnership with crypto travel startup TravelbyBit. The two companies together announced the launch of a rewards card which can facilitate crypto payments on several travel websites.

Users of the TravelbyBit travel rewards card will get access to exclusive travel deals and discounts for the hotel as well as flight bookings. The crypto travel card will function as a traditional prepaid debit card wherein the users can load different cryptocurrencies like BTC, BUSD, BNB, and ONT. The good thing is that this TrevelbyBit crypto card can be used on popular travel websites like Expedia, Agoda, Booking.com, and Ctrip.

Speaking about the launch, Caleb Yeoh, CEO of TravelbyBit said:

“Many businesses that accept crypto for their services charge users a high premium, which poses a significant barrier to adoption. At TravelbyBit, we want to make crypto useable, provide incentives for early adopters, and see crypto adoption grow. We are excited to work closely with Binance to bring crypto payments to travelers around the globe.”

To launch this rewards card, TravelbyBit will be working in collaboration with the Binance development team. As per the announcement, the crypto rewards card will come in early 2020 and will be made first available for travelers in ASEAN countries, Europe, and Australia.

The travel industry is increasingly looking to the use of cryptocurrencies with several startups working in this direction. In fact, even traditional and established platforms like Booking.com are leaning towards it.

Earlier this week, we have already reported about some other crypto-related updates within the traveling industry. According to the information provided by the sources, Booking.com announced its partnership crypto-friendly travel platform Travala.com. Established in 2017, the Travala platform facilitates users to pay for their hotel booking in digital currencies. This partnership Booking.com can also leverage Travala’s blockchain platform. At the same time, Travala will get access to Booking.com accommodation listings giving it a presence in 230 countries around the globe.

“This partnership allows our users to access Booking.com’s accommodation listings, as well as the listings from several other leading travel suppliers, which is a fantastic use case for our own AVA token and another huge step towards mass cryptocurrency adoption,” commented Matt Luczynski, CEO of Travala.com.
