According to Williams, by supporting ICP in Badlands Network Nervous Systems, they will be able to target two networks originating from a single blockchain.

The founder and the creator of Dfinity and Internet Computer, Dominic Williams has announced an extension to ICP using Badlands. The news arrives a couple of days after the founder was observed posting several tweets on the vitality of Badlands technology.

ICP, which is a cryptocurrency developed by a non-profit, Zurich-based organization named Dfinity, is the eleventh largest cryptocurrency in the world. It maintains a reputation as one of the most decentralized versions of the Internet. As it runs on its own proprietary protocol named Internet Computer Protocol, it has shown great promise as a network faster than Ethereum.

In his tweet, the entrepreneur notifies his followers of an upcoming blog for all the insights. He elaborates on the incentives the project will offer. Emphasizing the perfect environment that it will create with its indestructible hosting environment, Dominic explains the following points:

  • Everybody will be authorized to run a node.
  • Anonymous node providers.
  • A distinct token to Internet Computer
  • Coherent amalgamation with the ICP

In one of his previous posts on the significance of Badlands technology, Williams called ICP and Badlands as ‘friends’. According to him, by supporting ICP in Badlands Network Nervous Systems, they will be able to target two networks originating from a single blockchain. This would eventually lead to an entirely cross-functional system that focuses on different requirements but ultimately broadens the ecosystem. This way Badlands would undeniably furnish the maximum imaginable level of decentralization in a blockchain network. There would be nothing that could even come close.

As massive regulations materialize over numerous crypto projects, decentralized applications will find themselves in unnecessary disputes. With the options for centralized service providers diminishing due to the new adjustments, innovative hosting solutions are required to take their place.

ICP is known to permit everybody to create software and author content on the Internet without the use of Google or Facebook for example. The firm promises interoperability at super low prices with its ‘hack-proof platform’. Polychain Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, two of its major investors, are planning to launch apps for their Decentralized Finance. With the help of these apps, it is possible to utilize crypto-assets for substituting the conventional financial processes with the modern and evolving era of the Internet Computer.

The stellar reason that sets the one-year-old ICP apart from others is the fact that it does not run on the cloud. Whereas, it is operable on sturdy hardware created by independent agencies. Its impeccable speed further places it in a better position than its rival crypto networks. Where other cryptos might take half an hour for a transaction, ICP operates at an outstanding web speed.

Dfinity, its parent organization, boasts immense potential in scaling up the capacity as and when the requirement is identified. In a statement given some time ago, the firm described its ambition to be seen as a network that utilizes blockchain technology to support apps rather than as a cryptocurrency.
