Google treated observers to the features of its new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Android smartphones, as well as smartwatch.

Alphabet Inc/Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) recently showcased its new Pixel 7 smartphone product range as well as its very first Google Pixel Watch. According to the tech giant, its Google Pixel ensemble of phones, watches, and even earbuds, collectively offer a personal, holistic, computing experience. This is because each device is designed to learn user’s needs to deliver the desired experience.

Google says that its Pixel 7 phones are great for photography, with features capable of enhancing photos. In addition, the tech platform also alleges that its new Pixel phones can shoot cinema-quality videos. Reports also state that Google’s second-generation Tensor G2 helps to transplant the company’s artificial intelligence and machine learning directly to the Pixel phones.

At the recent Pixel 7 event, Google launched the new base Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones, alongside the Pixel Watch. In addition, the multinational company also teased the Pixel Tablet ahead of its slated release in 2023.

Breakdown of New Google Pixel 7 Smartphones

Replacing the Pixel 6 series at the top of Google’s mobile lineup, the Pixel 7 features a similar, although refreshed, external design. The smaller Pixel 7 has a more compact 6.3-inch display, which is slightly less than its predecessor’s 6.4-inch screen. However, the Pixel 7 is still a bit larger than the budget-friendly Pixel 6A smartphone previously released by Google.

The Pixel 6 and 7 devices have the same resolution. However, the 7 has slightly more pixels per inch due to its smaller screen. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 Pro retains a substantially larger 6.7-inch display. Furthermore, as Google’s most potent phone, the Pixel 7 Pro also offers an upgraded telephoto lens for a better zoom experience.

The Pixel 7 smartphones also have Pixel Call Assist which serves to enhance user call experiences. It does this by providing fast, accurate voice assistance with Live Translate, as well as Assistant voice typing.

Google says both Pixel 7 smartphone variations are available for preorder. The base model starts at $599, while the 7 Pro starts at $899. The devices will begin shipping on October 13th, and buyers will be able to get them in a range of interesting colors. The standard device will be available in Snow (white), obsidian (black), and lemongrass (yellow). On the other hand, the larger 7 Pro will be available in snow, obsidian, and hazel (green). Furthermore, the base Pixel 7 will ship in 128GB, and 256GB variants, while its upgraded Pro counterpart will come in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB formats.

Pixel Watch

Google’s Pixel Watch is the first WearOS device that meshes Google’s assistive qualities with health and fitness insights from Fitbit. Available for pre-order at a starting price of $349, this smartwatch features a durable, scratch-resistant 3-D coverglass. In addition, it also ships in three distinct jewelry-inspired stainless-steel finishes black, silver, and gold.

The Google Pixel Watch is also available in a $399 variant for 4G LTE. This includes access to the Google Play Store, Google Wallet mobile payments, and optional LTE connectivity.
