FC Barcelona has signed a new global partnership agreement with world-leading blockchain-based fan engagement platform for sport and entertainment Chiliz. FC Barcelona token is coming soon.

Spain’s soccer club FC Barcelona, which brags with Lionel Messi as a most valued team member, is set to have its own token that will give voting power to its “over 300 million” global fans. So, it means that the richest football club has finally decided to turn to the tokenization. FC Barcelona token is on the way!

FC Barcelona announced it signed a new global partnership agreement with a blockchain-based fan engagement platform for sports and entertainment Chiliz.

This deal will utilize possibilities for Barca fans to interact with the club through Chiliz’s fan voting and rewards platform That way, the fans will be able to take part in different surveys and polls about the everyday activities of the Club using digital assets called ‘Barça Fan Tokens’.

How It Will Be Possible to Get FC Barсelona Token

Fans around the world will be able to buy ‘Barça Fan Tokens’ through the new process known as a Fan Token Offering (FTOTM). They will also have the opportunity to collect the digital currency Chiliz $CHZ and Barça Fan Tokens regularly for free. It will all go through Token Hunt, the platform’s augmented reality feature. $CHZ is already listed on some of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges.

This association is also the first partnership based on blockchain. Signed by the Club, the alliance was made official at an event held at the Camp Nou Stadium.

Rewards for Fans

And it’s not just giving the voting rights to fans. The platform will also be having numerous rewards for undertaking with the Club. Fans will be rewarded for every different action they decide to take. They will also have the opportunity to climb up the leader ladder and to get reward points. Fans will be able to exchange these points for exclusive merchandise and unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences linked to Barça.

This agreement is part of FC Barcelona’s new strategy that leads to the club expansion. It also boosts its engagement to find the best possible arrangements in every category. Also, this new partnership bolsters FC Barcelona’s engagement into searching for new digital channels and patterns in order to connect and generate a connection with their global audience.

Barça Fan Tokens (known as $BAR within the app) will be available in Q2 2020. There will be 40 million Barça Fan Token in total. The token will cost €2 at the initial point of sale.
