Sultan Meghji is the inaugural Chief Innovation Officer at the FDIC. Previously, Meghji was Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Neocova, an AI focused financial technology firm he founded & headquartered in St. Louis.

Starting his career at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where he developed artificial intelligence systems and first generation Internet technologies, he has provided senior business and technology leadership at organizations including ABN AMRO, American Express, Monsanto, United Airlines and more. An active entrepreneur, Sultan has launched and sold a number of businesses, and he has served as an advisor to the US Treasury, FDIC, OCC and the FBI, as well as the G7 and United Nations in the areas of cyber security, quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

Meghji is a professor at Washington University, as well as being a scholar for the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, as well as a Fellow at the George Mason National Security Institute. His published works cover topics including artificial intelligence, biotech, big data, analytics, and startups.
