Samsung is to unveil its Note 20 at Galaxy Unpacked event. Despite the major releases this year, the company has seen its smartphone shipment plunge by around 18.9% year-on-year in the March quarter.

South Korean smartphone maker Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (KRX: 005930) is preparing to reveal to consumers the Galaxy Note 20, during August 5, 2020, Galaxy Unpacked virtual event. The company has been moving at a fast pace in delivering the next generation kind of smartphone, making it to be on a vantage point in the smartphone market competition.

In the promotional video meant to showcase the preliminary design of the device, the company showed the tip of a stylus S Pen that will come with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Also in the rumors, it is anticipated that the company might launch another series of foldable smartphones during the August 5 event.

The competition goes on in the smartphone industry where Chinese company Huawei led in the global shipment during the last quarter ahead of other companies. According to data from IDC, the worldwide smartphone shipment declined by almost 12% year over year during the first three months of the year. As though not enough, the firm anticipates the figures to drop further by 11.9% in the coming quarters, as the unprecedented nature of the pandemic that the world is dealing with disrupts the supply chain further.

Samsung to Be on the Lead with Note 20 Launch

Close range competitor, Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) is still months away in launching the long-anticipated 5G network supported smartphones, which are expected to be the competitor to the latest Samsung devices. With the world still fighting to keep the new coronavirus infection numbers and flatten the curve, smartphone companies have a difficult time ahead in recovering to normal figures.

AI features are some of the anticipated additions that the company will include harnessing the next-generation technology that is moving towards that line. Samsung has been partnering with major industrial tech giants like Netflix Inc (NASDAQ: NFLX), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), and others to have pre-installed apps that work smoothly with the device.

With enhanced camera quality, Samsung is promising to deliver style and technology for the consumer to enjoy. The company said it is working with leading innovators in the smartphone industry to continue enhancing its product in an unmatched way.

The renewed momentum of innovation will push other smartphone makers globally to move in a similar direction if not a much higher notch.
