I/O Digital sets to release the first ever decentralized identity sidechain using a distributed blockchain based DNS system. This system, known as DIONS (Decentralized I/O Name Server) will utilize the I/O Digital blockchain to attach sensitive identity credentials to a specific Bitcoin (XBT) or I/O Coin (IOC) address.
Blockstream created an ‘experimental’ Liquid Swap Tool introduced to Liquid Bitcoin Sidechain. The tool uses atomic swaps to trade more securely between tokens by eliminating middlemen who have suffered hacks and lost investors’ funds in the past.
The new Issued Assets (IA) program on Liquid sidechain will allow users to create their own tokenized assets which can represent any financial instrument.
With Bitcoin dominating the world of cryptocurrencies and virtual digital currencies, many financial institutions are now starting to considering Bitcoin in mainstream adoption as a new form of payment method in the near future.
