Institutions and professional clients can now trade Tether on LGO. The USDT-USD trading pair is available for trading on the LGO spot exchange.
We have implemented USDT trading following a surge in trading requests from our close to 60 counterparties in 20 different countries. Not only does this listing open the way to interesting use cases to our current clients, it also broadens the scope of clients that can use our platform.
USDT is the most widely traded cryptocurrency in the world – it surpasses BTC trading by $10bn per day. It is widely traded and accepted around the world, especially in emerging markets in Asia and South America. In these countries, USDT is used as a stable conduit for cross-border payments and remittance flow.
Yet, it has historically been difficult to trade USDT to USD with top-tier liquidity and low market impact on cryptocurrency exchanges. By opening a USDT-USD order book, we are looking to offer professional clients the most liquid and transparent market on Tether.
There are now three trading pairs available for trading on the LGO spot exchange: BTCUSD, USDTUSD, and LGOUSD.
