The agency’s deal with Deadfellaz is not its first in the NFT space.

Entertainment talent agency United Talent Agency (UTA) has signed a deal with the NFT project Deadfellaz for representation on all fronts. The project is made of a collection of 10,000 green-skinned zombies. The project was launched in August 2021. It has a floor price of 1.87 ETH (about $5,800) on OpenSea and more than 6,000 holders. Deadfellaz’s market capitalization is $38 million with volume traded exceeding 26,300 ETH, about $80 million.

Holders of Deadfellaz NFTs are called “The Horde”. Some prominent holders include Reese Witherspoon, Lionel Richie, Steve Aoki, Dillon Francis and Alexis Ohanian. Benefits of owning a DeadFellaz NFT include exclusive access to virtual events and new collections.

Web3 lead at UTA Lesley Silverman commented on the deal:

“We’re really excited to support not only a female-led project, but one that has continually vouched for authentic inclusivity and diversity in web3 since its inception. Betty and Psych are true visionaries and leaders and we’re looking forward to all the ways we can work with them to bring value to the Deadfellaz community and make the metaverse a more equitable space.”

“Betty” and “Psych” are the project’s co-creators.

The Los Angeles headquartered talent agency’s client list is  comprised of notable figures in ‘film, television, news, music, sports, theater, fine art, books, video games, podcasts, and other social and digital content.’

The agency’s deal with Deadfellaz is not its first in the NFT space. UTA penned a deal with Larva Labs in August 2021. Larva Labs is the creator of NFT projects like CryptoPunks, Meebits and Autoglyphs. The first two projects have since been sold to Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) creator Yuga Labs.

As part of the deal, the agency will use its three decades’ worth of experience to help Deadfellaz realize its goal of expanding into ventures such as brand partnerships, merchandising, gaming and live events.

“It is an honor and a pleasure to work with the team at UTA, who understand both the web3 space and our vision for Deadfellaz deeply. This relationship combined with our boundary-pushing innovation paints a very exciting picture for the future of The Horde,” said one of the project’s creators.
