It is expected that the Lupe Fiasco’s NFTs would go live on the 12th of April via a specially dedicated site for this.

In one of the most recent indications that the craze for NFTs are just beginning, Origin has announced that Lupe Fiasco, a Grammy-award winning musical artist and the recently appointed Artist in Residence at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) would be dropping his first-ever non-fungible token (NFT) on Origin’s NFT launchpad. According to the statement released by the crypto firm, the firm is proud to have “another direct-to-fan experience in collaboration with a true artistic visionary who has deep roots in crypto.”

The NFTs, known as the “Food & Liquor Collection” is named after his record-making hip hop album that was released in 2006. The album got four Grammy nominations which included a nomination for the Best Rap Album at the 49th Grammy Awards. One of his songs “Daydreamin” was nominated for the Best Urban/Alternative Song at the 50th Grammy Awards, and won. Today, his music label has continued to churn out hit topping tracks that showcase the immense talent that he is.

The GQ’s 2006 man of the year would launch two open edition NFTs and another auction for NFT collections. Holders of the token would also have access to a live Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor concert that would be hosted on the first-ever livestream platform to integrate NFTs. Not only that, these holders would have access to exclusive merchandise and digital content and an opportunity for a meet and greet with the renowned artist.

It is expected that the Lupe Fiasco’s NFTs would go live on the 12th of April via a specially dedicated site for this. The event would be produced by Rita Lee, the CEO of NuFace Entertainment, who has worked with tons of artists in producing mind-blowing events in the past.

NFTs have recorded sales of varying magnitude in recent times. Beeple’s Everyday NFT currently sits as the third priciest artwork sold by a living artist. Apart from that, other artists plus institutions have thrown their works into the fray and have recorded different levels of success.
